Ceremony of the 200th birthday of Frédéric II, the 'old Fritz' in Berlin, January 24, 1912. The Kaiser and the general von Loewenfeld (Commander of the guard's corps) in front of the Garrison, before the religious service of the ceremony. On the right close to the kaiser, his brother Prince Heinrich in admiral full dress, the Kaiser's sons Eitel, August-Wilhelm and Oskar. Wilhelm II is in parade uniform of the garde du Corps with the black breastplate worn during a few rare ceremonies (to see the picture page 1 UHLAN nr.5 déc98). The other officers wear the silvery grenadier cap assigned to the 1st Garde Rgt. zu Fuss in 1894.

In the background, the castle which has been destroyed and replaced by the head offices of the East German Government.
